Sue Barford is the principle practitioner and is a highly experienced Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Advanced Bowtech Bowen Therapist and nurse consolidating her health professional career since 1983.
As a sole practitioner, Sue’s work is focused on a thriving regional practice providing two separate but often synergistic services of Lactation Consultancy and Bowen Therapy.

The Red Gate Story
Red Gate Bowen & Breastfeeding Clinic was named in 2010 after the restoration of a much loved ‘Sunshine’ farm gate, from the early 1900s, at Sue Barford’s Roma property.
Sue believes in the availability of the best health care, irrespective of where people live, so it was only appropriate that the gate represents its country origins.
To Sue, a Red Gate says come on in and welcome, capturing how her clients feel from the moment they arrive to when they depart.
Red Gate Clinic opened in Roma in 2011 and relocated to Ravensbourne, with their signature ‘Red Gate’ in October 2019.
We have move recently relocated to Toowoomba in 2025.
