Our story
I am an experienced, Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Bowtech Bowen Therapist and nurse consolidating many years as a health professional since beginning as a nurse in 1983.
My current work focuses on my thriving regional practice delivering two separate services of Bowen Therapy and Breastfeeding consultancy. My practice has built on the basis of personalised, professional and prompt care.
I am passionate about delivering health care that cares holistically for client wellbeing in both modalities and I love the challenge of resolving issues to improve lifestyle and meet client’s personal goals.
Red Gate Bowen & Breastfeeding Clinic was named after a much loved and restored early 1900’s ‘Sunshine’ farm gate at our Roma property.
At Red Gate clinic I believe in the best health care irrespective of where people live so it seems appropriate that the gate represents its country origins.
To me a Red Gate says come on in and welcome, capturing the way my clients tell me they feel from the moment they arrive to when they depart.
After my children finished school I took the leap from full time nursing and part time lactation consulting to full time Bowen treatment and lactation consulting. I love making a difference and this follows my passion for widening clients’ health care choices using my training as a Bowen therapist and Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
Red Gate Clinic opened in Roma in 2011 and relocated to Ravensbourne in October 2019 after a brief holiday in the area where we fell in love with the beautiful High Country Hamlets region and its people.
Bowen Therapist: Bowtech accredited
I enjoy knowing Bowen Therapy offers clients of all ages and stages a gentle, effective health care option for pain and general wellbeing in addition to conventional medical treatment.
I became aware of the power of Bowen therapy which I believe has a perfect synergy to my passion for holistic care of individuals and as a complement to traditional medical care.
“Being able to use my skills and passion as a Bowen therapist and lactation consultant to improve the lives of people and their families is an honour and privilege I enjoy and take seriously.”

Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
I first became interested in breastfeeding through the Nursing Mothers Association, now Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA), just before the birth of my now grown-up sons. I soon realised that breastfeeding was a skill learned by both mother and baby and trained as a breastfeeding counsellor and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2003.
Over 30 yrs later, I'm still helping mothers and babies. I empower women to reach their breastfeeding goals and make informed decisions by supporting them with the best possible information, assessment and advice during their breastfeeding journey.
“My passion and privilege is helping mums achieve their breastfeeding goals by providing quality information, assessment and support."
Gold standard in Lactation Consultant certification (IBCLC) held with the IBLCE International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners continuously since 2003;
Australian Breastfeeding Association Counsellor and Counsellor Trainer 14 years, 1991-2005;
Nurse since 1983
